Entry rules
Individuals can enter up to three submissions in total, all of which must be their own work and created after the 20th June 2008.
A fee of £4.00 will be charged for each entry, which includes complimentary membership of the Midsomer Norton Society until 20th June 2009. Existing full members/associate members of the Society receive a 50% discount, ie. £2 per entry. Children up to Year Six pay £1 per entry; if 10 or more children enter from a single class, the teacher may contact the Secretary of the Society and apply for free entry for the class. Cheques should be made payable to “The Midsomer Norton Society”.
No single dimension for an entry may exceed one metre, unless agreed in advance.
Applications close on the 30th April 2009. The item to be entered must then be received by 23rd May 2009.
Although every care will be taken, the Society cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to entries. If entrants wish to take out their own insurance this is a matter for their own discretion.
The Midsomer Norton Society reserves the right not to display any entry deemed by the judges to be liable to cause offence or which is impractical to display. The awarding of prizes will be made by the Judging Panel, whose decision shall be final.
By entering the Awards, participants over 18 agree to have their names and photographs published by the Society in the press and on the Society website.
Certificates of Merit will be issued for all those entries judged to be of a sufficient standard; a copy of all such entries will be included in the Midsomer Norton Society archive for future research.
Winners will be presented with the main annual trophies engraved with their names, but will be required to return them to the Secretary of the Midsomer Norton Society by 31st May 2010.
