Our Planning Watch team has recently identified a planning application for Mackays clothing store (38 High Street) which we believe will have a significant impact on the town. While we are not at all against the expansion of the store as such, and very much welcome Mackays investing in their business and thereby the town, what does cause concern is the nature of the proposed two-storey glass frontage which is totally out of keeping.
